October 22, 1905 – August 28, 1993

Sr. Mary Berchmans (Esther) of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament was born in England and raised in Ireland before entering the Ursuline community in 1925 in Ozone Park. She served as a teacher at Nativity BVM, Our Lady of Grace, St. Maurice, and in Canada. Sr. Berchmans was also an assistant at Blue Point, Local Superior, and Novice Superior throughout her 68 years as an Ursuline Sister of Tildonk.
