Sr. Ignatius Green entered the Ursuline community in 1921 in Haacht, Belgium, and professed her final vows six years later in Ozone Park. She had a BA from St. John’s University, a MA from Fairfeld University and studied piano at the Toronto Conservatory and London Conservatory. Sr. Ignatius served as Principal of Nativity BVM from 1925 to 1937. She taught elementary school and music theory extensively in Connecticut where she also served as Superior. Sr. Ignatius’ ministry also brought her to serve in Haacht, Belgium, Gierle Belgium, Bruxelles, Canada, and Toronto.
