Sr. Jean Redigan entered into the congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk in 1949 and professed her final vows six years later. She taught and served as principal of St. William the Abbot and Nativity BVM. Sr. Jean served the community as Assistant Mistress of Novices, Assistant Provincial, and Provincial Superior. After her time in leadership, Sr. Jean became the Director of Religious Education and parish minister at Our Lady of the Isle (Long Beach) and then, in 1990, transitioned to the position of principal at Our Lady of Hope (Middle Village), where she served faithfully until her retirement in 2009.
