Sr. Joachim was born in County Monaghan, Ireland. She joined the congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk when she arrived in the United States at the age of 16. She faithfully ministered at Nativity BVM, Blue Point, Our Lady of Grace, Our Lady of Victory, Blue Point, and in Canada.
