Sr. Margaret, originally from Hartford, Connecticut, was the only daughter in a family with 3 sons – 2 of whom became priests. She entered the congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk in 1952 at the age of 19. She taught at Nativity BVM and St. Maurice. Sr. Margaret then became involved in the Province’s retreat centers in Oyster Bay Cove and Blue Point where she provided housekeeping services and meal preparation. She retired to Blue Point in 2003 where she continued her ministry of prayer.
