Sr. Maureen O’Brien, born in Liverpool, England, entered the Ursuline community in 1933. She earned her BA from Manhattan College and MA from St. John’s University. Sr. Maureen taught at Our Lady of Grace, Nativity BVM, St. William the Abbot, St. Thomas the Apostle, Holy Family High School, and St. Mary High School. She also taught Religious Education and was a Eucharistic Minister. In her own words, Sr. Maureen’s main goal was to “convince teenagers – and others – that Jesus is real, understands and loves them.”
