June 4, 1921 – October 12, 2012

Sr. Sara was born in County Monaghan, Ireland. After coming to the United States and entering the Ursuline community she professed her final vows in 1945, ten years after her sister, Sr. Mary Catherine. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Manhattan College and Masters degree from St. Rose College she had an extensive ministry in education. Sr. Sara taught at Nativity BVM, Our Lady of Grace, Our Lady of Victory, St. Thomas the Apostle, St. Maurice, St. William the Abbot, St. Nicholas of Tolentine (Bronx), Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (Bronx), and St. Francis School (Patchogue). Following her teaching career, she was a Home Healthcare Aide for several years before her retirement to Blue Point.

Sr. Sara was joined in her vocation as an Ursuline Sister of Tildonk by her sister, Sr. Catherine.
