July 30, 1937 – January 30, 2010

Sr. Sheila was a native of Howard Beach, NY and a graduate of Our Lady of Grace. She entered the congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk at the age of 18 and went on to to receive a Bachelor degree from St. John’s University and a Masters of Arts degree from Fairfield University. Sr. Sheila ministered for many years in the education field where she served as both a teacher and principal at Nativity BVM and Holy Family High School. She also served as the Formation Director for the congregation and spent nine years as a member of the congregation’s general government in Belgium. Upon her return from Belgium she was a Pastoral Associate in Virginia, as well as  St. Anthony’s (Rocky Point), St. Agnes (Greenport) and  St. John the Baptist (Wading River).  She also served as the Co-Director of the congregation’s Associate members.
